Are skaters normies?
>skaters are often looked down upon by other people
>skate culture is looked down upon by a lot of people
>skating is hard to learn
>Girls think it's "cool"

Girls and roasties don't really enjoy or appreciate skateboarding though. They just pretend to like it as an excuse to hop onto more dicks.
>Implying skaters don't attract all the alternative girls

Also this, too many public areas have outright banned skating, so it's almost impossible to get into skating these days

Street skating is still pretty easy if you practice in a skatepark and then go skate in places where no one really cares.
Skaters were a 90s and early-2000s thing.
I remember seeing skaters back then. Literally no girls were ever on skateboards. The guys would do all the skateboarding and the girls would just stand around doing girl things.

The skate scene is a lot less mainstream now but still pretty active if you actually get into it.

This is true for a lot of things
skating isn't a thing anymore

You guys are pretty wrong. Skating and skate culture has actually blown up in the last couple years. It's had a huge influence on the latest fashion trends(supreme, palace, thrasher etc) which definitely brings it into mainstream culture leading to more people trying to skate.
>tfw wife's son and his friends make fun of a kid because he skates instead of watching twitch streamers and youtube vloggers like pewdiepie

Back in '04 I would hang out with my skatebrahs after school, then go home and surf /b/. You tell me.

Skaters have vanished around here, the only place you can find some now is at the skatepark but its nothing like the 90's and early to mid 2000's

I see a lot of longboard fags these days
