I'm not so sure his life was in disrepair, from what I gathered in his manifesto. He was in college, he seemed to be headed in the right direction. He definitely had his fair share of problems, then some even. A group of real friends he could count on would have done him wonders I think. Maybe they could have adjusted his course, reassured him or helped fix him up with someone. I'm not sure how closely he guarded that, though. Maybe he never let on just how deep that desire was.

This kid seriously created all of his own problems. He was rich. His father was a big shot and as a result he was literally a hollywood insider. He was good looking. Elliot's life wasn't broken, his brain was. If you are assuming that I now have Elliot's brain, then I do exactly what he did.
Elliot was rich, didn't have any responsibilities, and was actually reasonably attractive. He was full blown autismo and completely deranged, which meant that he couldn't get girls even with his advantages, but a lot of people would be able to completely turn things around, simply by moving to a different location where Eliiot wasn't known and living like a king.
I prepare a lot better.
