It's frustrating being dependent on a drug but it's nice to have the option. I take amphetamine. The sides are pretty bad but with some strict lifestyle changes they can be tolerable. I'm not sure how people get addicted to it because I can't handle doses high enough to get tweaked. Usually I take 10mg a day, but sometimes a take a second.
The lifestyle changes are mostly related to food and sleep. Like most autists I was already pretty skelly. I drink lots of milk with brotein powder and that helps sneak the calories in. For sleep all I've found is getting 30 minutes minimum of exercise per day to help tire me out. I have a bike trainer that let's me ride a bike inside by lifting up the rear wheel and providing magnetic and friction resistance. I also have a basic barbell, bench, and squat stand in the garage. If anyone suspects they're 80hd I suggest you get it checked out. The difference for me was night and day. I'm now the goodest goy and people actually describe me as responsible, competent, and punctual. These were not the adjectives I heard growing up. It feels nice.

The psychiatrist said tolerance builds quickly and that we will eventually adjust the dose. My psychologist takes 30mg three times a day. I think my heart would stop after such a regimen.
