Why are normies so materialistic?
If people were responsible with their money the economy would crash.
Because they have no internal sense of self, and so need to seek validation in the eyes of others. Material possessions are a visible way to quantify their value as a person in comparison to others. However, because their material possessions have no intrinsic value to one's self, as soon as the obtain them the object loses all value. Thus they remain in a perpetual state wherein they pursue that object which will give them worth and define their person.
Because materialism makes them feel like they're worth something. I'm able to buy diamonds and put them in my teeth and take a shit in a .999 pure gold toilet while you eat ramen all day going from paycheck to paycheck.

I have a decent amount of money saved. If I spent it all on clothes, shoes, hats, movies, dinners out, dates with girls, and got a nicer car, I'd get more pussy. Because materialism is the motor of all progress. It is material envy that drives me to earn and achieve and educate myself, so to prove myself better. Rejecting materialism is crippling myself, which both makes me know less and hurts other people because I can't apply said knowledge to others' benefit. In fucking REALITY, exposure to your toxin will make people less driven, less achieving, and less capable of helping others.

Looking up to materialism is what helped contribute to this modern type of society and culture we see in most cities today.
On one hand, it's good in the way that it keeps jobs going and money flowing and there is progress in the standard of living, technology, etc, but on the other hand, the bad outweighs the good, as everyone sees money and expensive things as the only thing they need to be respected and happy, and it blocks out other true, deeper values and ways of living.
this is just my opinion btw, correct me if anyone feels like it.
