Would it be weird to ask someone I know to borrow a shotgun for suicide?

I think firearms are my best option, but I don't own a gun and don't want to go through applying for any permit shit.
I knew a guy who is super rightist and he said he owns a lot of guns. Would it be weird to ask him if he has a shotgun, and if I can use it to kill myself? Would he be able to get it back after?
