My gf is pretty slow. When I make "intellectual" jokes and talk about deeper stuff with my bros, she'll sometimes get mad at me because she won't be able to understand, thus, leaving her out of the conversation. She takes a while to get jokes, even when they're stupid jokes like in Family Guy. I have to explain them to her sometimes. When she does get those jokes, she laughs and occasionally snorts. It's not cute. There are also times where she tells me about her minor problems, and how she had to think and take time to process and solve them.
