I'm balding but I won't shave my head. It's better to hope for a mad scientist look than to shave your head and grow a beard, which makes people look absolutely anonymous. People without hair all look alike.

For some reason I got the impression that a shaved head and a beard would be a sort of monk-ish look, but I guess that's also the "AMERICA! normie biker" look. Perhaps you could try a goatee, like Professor Calculus of the Tintin series.
