My little sister was getting better grades than me throughout high school and her freshman year of college and even got some pretty serious awards for poetry and writing, but she's also a tumblrina with a plethora of questionable "mental illnesses" and even tried to kill herself not too long ago. I'm not really sure if that counts as more successful or not.

I should have finished college.
Then again I never had high expectations put on me. I think that's at least part of the reason why I fucked everything up. No motivation, support or drive imbued on me by parents. Found out in the last few years that my mother simply can not get anything done without outside help.
My six years older sister resented me for a while, but I think she's mellowed out by now.
She didn't go to uni because our parents couldn't afford it back then as they were going through serious financial trouble and she was afraid of getting in debt. She went through several horrid service sector jobs before getting married to an ok guy. They have two sons now and my sister is a housewife, she doesn't work.
I've had my way paid through a great uni and got a great job. It's hard to compare our relative success since they have a happy family and I'm alone, but I make more than they do despite being ten years younger than her husband.
But hey I'm happy to be the uncle with expensive presents. I'm their older son's godfather.

I honestly feel like a lot of my social stigma has to do with how my parents treat me and coddled me and both overprotected me, and also my mother's need for independence and having to do everything herself so doing everything for us. As well as neither of them, my mother moreso, being supportive at all in any sort of dream or work or career or developing a skill because then they'd act like going to afterschool stuff is a hassle or they'd whine you have to pay or whatever.
