Maybe you're referring more to F2P MMORPGs and similarly large games, but I never cared for online gaming anyway. As far as RPGs go, I'm strictly into single-player games. That is literally the best fun-to-play, free-to-play, balanced, almost 10 years constantly updated (visually, technically), class-based first person shooter. No shitty CoD (being released every fucking year with minor changes like those of monthly TF2 updates) or even Counter-Strike (support dead after 1.6, then they relased Source which sucked ass mechanically and thus most people kept with 1.6 and finally Global Offensive which is fixed version of Source) can beat it. Blizzard or whoever the fuck created Overwatch basically copy-pasted whole TF2 style, added cool skins and smacked a price of fucking $60, while for that price you could've got Orange Box which included TF2 together with other 4 games made by Valve.

I don't even give much shit whether they copied or not, but what pisses me off is that they put price on that. Sixty-fucking-dollars. I'm eurofag, so it'll probably cost the same but in fucking euro currency. People are literally buying that game, when TF2 is free to play and is nowhere near being pay-to-play. You can buy cosmetics worth thousands of dollars, but it won't make you any better or powerful. Talk about skill-cap, it's damn huge. TF2 is both for casual play and competitive. Do you know a lot games that are suitable for both types of gameplay? The ONLY DLC that is being sold is Premium DLC where you basically get full features, but it was only made after F2P. Everything else is free to play. No charges, no nothing. Updates, maps, even custom weapons are completely free. And I know F2P is not a full version, but you can pay like, what, minimum $5 (minimum Steam accepts) and you can buy any shit tier weapon for 10 cents and have full fucking game. Now Blizzard just fucked in the ass Valve, fuck them. Of course Valve cucked themselves with CSGO release, but I guess it made profit more than TF2, so whatever.

This is a multiplayer game with absolutely no singleplayer or any huge story behind it. But take a look at every class' presentation with their "Meet the..." videos. Every class presentation is so simple, yet so complicated to analyze with only one or first look. Notice how much Valve has put their effort for every detail, character personality, voice-over, styling, annual Halloween, Christmas etc. events with atmospheric maps and cosmetics, where you else get the Halloween's creepy vibe or heart-touching and warm-ish Christmas Eve in other vidya? See balancing of characters. NOT a single weapon or characted is overpowered. Hate Spies? Pick Pyro. Hate Pyro? Pick Sniper and headshot them. Hate Snipers? Backstab that motherfucked as Spy. This is esentially Quake in our days.

I got OW for 30pounds here in the UK which is pisscheap, I'm not sure what the exchange rates are but never the less OW is a vast improvement from TF2 and is well worth the money.
OW is for people who are willing to take the risk and pay for the added quality. They're partially staying out of TF2 community which is a largely F2P

I agree with Valve's characters being better (raw charisma>backstory, which is why most of Blizzard's characters suck) but aside from that OW is balanced in the exact same way. The only hero that is "OP" right now is arguably Widowmaker and that's only at the peak skill cap were the widowmaker can reliably score headshots.
