Several weeks later, my birthday came around. There was no whiskey. She decided for herself that I "shouldn't drink when I'm depressed". Later, she didn't understand why I would rather stay in my room all day than "celebrate". I'm a shut-in with no friends to "celebrate" with.

There was a Mexican restaurant that I used to go to with my family every year on my birthday when I was a kid. I can't eat there alone, for obvious reasons, so I got carry-out. When I got home and started to eat, everything was just lukewarm and they fucked up my entire order. Instead of chicken enchiladas and bean burritos, everything was ground beef - all dry and flavorless.
