Like a fedora-lord, the cat sees the base fun of playing catch and fetch as a pointless activity for the simple, yet the cat is an extremely simple creature. It's so autistic it doesn't realize how dumb it really is, dumber than a dog in fact. The dog sees this menial FUN task as a way to build a foundation, exercise, and please its care taker by showing its potential. The cat on the other hand, will refuse to play, and will instead lay in its designated sleeping area until it realizes 10 years later that its wasted all its time and life not doing this just because it's "above" it and kills itself.

but I have a dog because it provides at least some level of friendly interaction with another being, I like precisely because they're friendly and dependent. It gives me a reason to get up and provides a bit of emotional comfort, no matter how superficial.
