I'm a useless NEET with no hope in life

I was thinking of joining a taekwondo or kick boxing place because I'm already in shape and I'm bored (and want to make friends)

Is this a good idea?

I signed up in a MMA gym with the same goal and it's 50/50 success. On one hand it's fun as hell, on the other it's hard to connect with the people going there because they're turbonormies.
