4chan as a whole is most likely not representative for humanity. I doubt the user-base holds the same political opinions and have the same cultural backstory as society as a whole.
However, I do believe people are more right-wing in their beliefs/opinions than they tend to admit and that many are keeping quiet out of their fear of disapproval. This has at least been shown to be true for students and professors on university campuses.
