Wanna know the funny part? My parents have no idea! I've already surpassed both their ANNUAL salaries and it's only June. I live in their house rent-free, they think I'm 100% NEET so I can just save all my money.
And before you guys call me an asshole, realize that my parents were NEVER supportive of any of my life choices or ventures. They think I'm a computer-addicted fuck-up and remind me of it constantly. Always comparing me to neighbors that are the same age, "oh so-and-so from down the road got a job at Normiez Inc. Sounds like he's quite successful!" -- yeah FUCK YOU too.
It's going to feel so fucking good when I can just toss a bank statement in their face one day and leave like a fucking boss.

Without getting into specifics, I create high-following accounts on a social media site then sell them.
Basically I pick a 'theme' for the account, brand it accordingly, start it out with some fake followers, schedule a bunch of posts for the next few months, then use software to follow/unfollow other users in related industries.
It usually takes 2-5 hours a day to schedule everything, fulfill orders and do customer service emails. I do it passively while watching Netflix or youtube videos.

I've never had any significant savings until now, and I swear just knowing I have a good lump sum in the bank has improved my depression and genuinely made me happy. It's a feeling of security I've never felt in my life.

But OP, as far as your parents acting like normie fags goes, it's because they are normie fags. Don't get bitter and ruin your relationship with some of the few people that probably love you. Just use your business as a way to show them that you're not computer addicted, and pay some rent. It'll be better in the long run, especially if you have to move back in, which could happen because fortune is a bitch. Also, I went through this same shit with my parents, but then I showed them that most of my time on the computer was spent learning extra math, so I would be better prepared for my major, and picking up a few extra tips for the trades my dad taught me, so I could support myself better at uni, after that they stopped fussing, because they knew I wasn't wasting time. Old normies just don't understand how vital computers are to modern life; you have to show them.
