Have you considered using psychedelics instead? There's been research done fairly recently showing that psychedelics are an extremely effective treatment for alcohol addiction. And unlike alcohol, psychedelics serve to open and expand the mind rather than numb and damage it -- which is why psychedelics are illegal and alcohol is not. No government wants its people open and enlightened.

Eh, acid can fuck with your mood in some adverse ways, even after the trip. Also any "enlightenment" you feel is illusionary, just the result of the drug. If you truly want composure and understanding start meditating, and learning how to look beyond the mind. Drugs in general aren't mentally healthy.

I become much more talkative and, in my mind, more attractive when I'm drunk. I also don't want to become an alcoholic but I just love the state.
