Most people on bux get around 8 - 15k per year. In 5 years that's enough to buy cheap property. In the US (I'm in Australia) -- you would look for a small town with basic services like a school, hospital, etc. The population would be under 10k but over 1k so it wouldn't be shitty enough that you wouldn't be able to find people to rent your NEET shack yet low enough that property isn't expensive as fuck. You're going to want at least 10k spare to pay for fees like conveyancing and upgrades to the house but if you make a cash offer you may be able to talk down a 50k house to 40k. After that, you can get rent on the house and use the house to take out a mortgage to pay for a home loan for a better house (and rent that out + use it to pay off the loan.)

Also: protip -- if the house has weird features like saunas or hot tubs you can charge a shit load more rent under the guise that its luxury. These upgrades will only cost a few thousand but potentially net you thousands more each year. People really don't think that much when it comes to buying shit.

Unlike you, some people can't live with family and have to get an apartment. Maybe if you live in shitsburgh, middle of nowhere you can get an apartment for like $500-$600 a month. But in places that aren't awful rent for a 1 BR or even a studio can cost $700+. Then you have utilities, internet and food. You're at about $1100 there, less if you eat awful shit like ramen every day.
