So you started browsing in 2012? Sucks to be you I guess. Older /b/ and /r9k/ were vastly different from now. People were much more supportive and tolerant to fellow misfits. They actually motivated me to try and turn my life around. I tried really hard to fit in but unfortunately failed miserably and ended up as an embarrassment because of my crippling social skills.
It really pains me looking at how this place turned out. I keep coming back out of habit and get disappointed every time
