I also fenced in half so far. Using 8 foot PT posts, 6 foot deer fence, then construction blackout mesh worked out to around $4 per foot for the fence. Wood would have been around $16-20 depending.
I figure I can get free fence boards over the next few years then just redo it with old cedar once the mesh dies.

It has two GIANT black cherry trees and a cedar in the back. Front has one maybe 6 year old black cherry tree. I plan to get rid of the front one.
Neighbors were like, building a fence around the two back trees saying how she planted them as a child and I was like, " lol that is my property "
I had to get a survey done before they would shut up about it, then I built the super ghetto fence on their side first.
Cherry toxic to puppy, so I might cut them down and replace with real fruit trees.
I am near Seattle, so its rough for fruit trees.
