>>
>>29318336
because it's the cool thing to do
you do want to fit in don't you anon?

but in al seriousness i'm waiting for the day where someone asks me "so what tattoos do you have anon" and i reply by saying i don't have any and they say "what do you mean you don't have any? everyone has tattoos anon"

you are literally in the minority these days if you are over 20 and don't have tatts

People that get that many body & arm tattoos are going to look fucking stupid when they're old. Not to mention they effectively shut themselves out of any business job.

I've heard in interviews she stinks, her breath in particular.

I like pretty images as much as the next guy but I have never seen the need to permanently plaster a piece of art to my skin. I don't see the point. It looks nice, sure, but it would look nice literally anywhere else.

I used to be really insecure about myself and also disliked tattoos. I eventually stopped caring about what other people think of me and now I have two tattoos.
I see them as a kind of scrapbook of ideas or concepts that represent me.

I still think most tattoos that I see are fucking stupid, especially the cliche bullshit that thots get and think they're being unique and original. I also hate the meathead mentality of guys that get covered in tattoos, these people literally cover their bodies in tattoos just because they think it looks cool and end up with a bunch of meaningless shit all over their arms.

My only tattoos are only visible if I'm wearing shorts and a t shirt and I doubt I'll ever get any that are more prominent than that.
>>
>>29320580
What are you doing on /r9k/ normie?
>>
>>29318336
They think it makes them unique but it does the opposite. Now it's not a statement or something with meaning, it's just a fashion accessory you can never take off.

It really seems like the majority of people under 40 have ink. If anything you stand out more if you don't have some inane tattoo
>>
>>29321091
Having a few tattoos doesn't mean I'm no longer a kissless hugless virgin with no friends that still lives with my parents.

Kek. Can you link these interviews? Sounds like a good laff.

Why would anyone x?

It's just what those people like. Usually they grow up listening to punk, metal and rock. They played THPS and skated themselves. They always go to bars, festivals and concerts filled with tattooed people. They see tattoos and piercings in every music video and most of their movies. Even their porn has people that look like that. They love the art and the way they can express themselves. They hate normal people and want to distance themselves from the boring mainstream society.

Why do virgin nerds always wear a cape and fedoras, vape and discuss all day?

Why do frat boys wear their caps backwards and wear tanktops?

It's just that you like the things your idols and peers wear. And you wear those things to attract even more similar minded people. Plus it's a good ice breaker.
>>
>>29321283
They're all degenerates you know.
>>
>>29321283
Tattoos are as normal as you can get.
>>
>>29319879
Your skin becomes the art.

Instead of having normal boring skin your body becomes the canvas.

>>29320580
Yeah unoriginal and trendy tattoos are the worst

I love tattooed people, but I hate chicks with the current trendy tattoos (birds on their belly, stars, diamonds, anchor,...) and guys with those tribal tats.

As an extension of your personality they are great (and a great way to meet new people if you move around a lot due to work), but if they say "I'm boring, unoriginal and trendy" that shows a shitty personality
>>
>>29321332
Normal as in a nice upstanding citizen that does what their pastor and parents said instead of breaking a few rules
>>
Bonnie rotton is so fuccing hot i love the way she prolapses and squirts
>>
>>29321377
What do you think about tattoos that othep people may have? For example if you find some picture and you really like it. But what if someone else too finds it cool and makes a tattoo of it?
>>
>>29318336

a number of people loves to be degraded, even if they actually say they do not.

there are those who prefer a tattoo, and those sporting a scat/vomit fetish, but it's the same kind of mental issue.

No problem. That just means that a few people have the same taste. That's something different than getting the same tattoo as everyone else just to fit in and be trendy

Just wanted to say how stupid tattoos are. Over time white blood cells, break down the pigment and disperse it through your body before it's evacuated. I don't want metals and inorganic dyes going through my dome piece and organs.
>>
>>29318336

People are both dumb, AND have poor taste, and they think it actually looks good (it doesn't). A traditional practice of various native peoples, outsiders, and the underclass in general has gone mainstream. However, it is still concentrated among a specific "underclass": lower-class white people, porn stars (OP's pic related?), bikers and the like. Upper middle class types still /usually/ instinctively know not to get all tatted up, for the most part (the odd trust fund hipster is the exception to this).

The well-heeled Stacy and Chad, if they've been brought up right, still know not to get garish tats. Or even if they do (because it's that common) they will tend to be less garish designs, in more conservative body placements (on an ankle, a shoulder, etc).

Reminds me of that video of the pornstar coming in for a shoot and when she takes her clothes off every guy in the room starts retching

Apparently she never cleaned herself out and she smelt like sin, the male was supposed to eat her out and I think one of the guys in the room that was filming actually threw up

>>
>>29321885

I'm not that guy but you need to understand that everything you wrote in this post is wrong. Tats are hideous and age like milk.

>>29318614

There was this one fat pig at my old job with arm-length tats; she was occasionally tasked with makework and receptionist tasks in the front office (she was the only one with visible tats). Although come to think of it, they did eventually move her out of the front office into an adjacent, more working-class "plant office", heh.

My point being that you can get office work with tats (just because tats are that damn common now and they don't have a choice in some cases, in order to get the right talent), but to your point, it's obviosuly not their look-preference, and if they can trade up in favor of an un-tatted person or put you someplace else, they will. Good for them (business in general for punishing tattoos, I mean).
>>
They probably like tattoo's, so they got them. Having a few tattoo's in reasonable places doesn't carry any of the social stigma it used to.

Scars are also cool
>>
Because it makes them look edgy and deep.
>>
>>29318336
Because they're not special like me or other fellow robots.
>>
>>29322244
>they liked them so they got them
I like the look of sci-fi transportation most of the time
Doesn't mean I'm carving them into my skin.
There has to be more to it than that.
>>
>>29322316
No. Not all people are autists. Some just live their lives trying to stay as happy as they can.
>>
>>29318336
No. No one is the same person they were a year, let alone five years ago. If you are the same person you were more than a year ago, you haven't done anything worthwhile.

That being said, it's a form of body mutilation.
>>
>>29322365
You're still not motivating why enjoying something necessitates painful permanent body modification.
You're not too dumb to get the analogue I hope.
>>
>>29322422
Why should I motivate anyone? I don't have tattoos, had both my ears pierced in my youth. My friends don't have tattoos tho my close friend wants to do one in a couple of years when he turns 30. I just don't think there's something wrong with it. I've seen bad prison/army tattoos, bad lowlife tattoos, bad chad/stacy tattoos regular hipster tattoos and good artistic tattoos. And honestly it's very easy to distinguish them and people who have them. It's like saying all men who have long hair are gays or greasy metalheads.
>>
>>29318336
They look hot on girls if they're large and thoughtful.

I like having them just because. I always was fascinated by tattoos, ever since I was the size of a fire extinquisher.
>>
>>29322506
Our replies so far:
>they liked them
OK. I also like things.
>so they got permanent body modification
OK so I can relate. I like stuff, but I'd never permanently modify my body to show that.
>why should I motivate
We're having an argument.
I'm asking. It makes such little sense.
Clothes and such are worn for status or whatever. I may buy a 2k USD suit or whatever. Almost nobody does that because they really love the look of the suit. And it's not permanent. Tattoos (and piercings, though earrings on girls are suit status) are a negative investment. They have negative stigma attached. At least to some degree. You pay for pain and ridicule. What kind of sense does that make? What would cause the person to get a shallow expression of something (whatever the tattoo or piercing pertains to)? Because they liked the look of it? That's clearly not sufficient motivation. They'd have to like it A LOT. It's not a small thing.

Sure, don't motivate. But we're not arguing anymore if you don't.

>youthful fascination with something 'cool' he/she never grew out of
Paints a clearer picture..
>>
>>29322676
You say it like it is a bad thing. Or did you force yourself to drop all things you used to like just because "you had to grow out of it"?

My grandpa used to say the following: "If growing up means I have to live a boring life, I never want to grow up", these days I understand what he meant.

Have a moment to reflect upon yourself.
>>
>>29322159
what
link pls
>>
My wife has them from her time in prison. I don't like them, but they have a meaning to her.
>>
>>29322767
Anon it's a consideration you should have. How much adaptation is appropriate? How important is it to satisfy an emotion that comes from childhood for no real reason? How happy are you that you're tattooed every day? If you're really happy about it sure.

Then also consider what negative consequences might have been. And how much happier you'd be without.

It's true I avoid things. I'd never purchase one of those bouncy balls at the grocery store for a dollar and bounce it on my way home. Or play with anything similar in public. But it's not a major source of enjoyment for me. I do other things I enjoy just as much if not more when walking home. Like listening to podcasts.
It's not as simple as 'do what you enjoy' with such a shortsighted mindset. The longterm is more important.

I wouldn't listen to your grandpa. No offense, mines better. On the Golden rule (from the Bible) he commented that you're not supposed to follow it literally. You're supposed to treat others as well as you want to be treated, to their preference. Far wiser. Your grandpa just has control issues. If he's in a situation where he has to motivate actions with that then likely he's not in a situation where he's actually having a good time.
>>
>>29321283
>they grow up listening to punk, metal and rock
This was the case with me, and yet I always thought tattoos were retarded.
>>
>>29322996
Some are smarter than others anon.
>>
I noticed a girl I know has a big tattoo of a picture of her two kids on the back of her shoulder. It wasn't one of those botched funny tattoos, it actually looked okay, I think I have seen the pic it was based on.

Now, she probably reasoned that if she got a tattoo there is a chance that she would regret it later on, but if it is of her kids she would never regret it because they are her world etcetcetc. But I keep thinking, she just left the father. Could you imagine, you are about to fuck some girl from behind and all the time her two kid sons are looking right up at you.
>>
>>29318760
Sailors and Soldiers have tattoos because they are legitimate tough guys. And criminal niggers of course.
>>
>>29318336
I don't know, just another form of expression. Although I do think some tattoos are stupid, if it means something to someone. They don't affect else, so people really shouldn't care about others having them.

This is coming from someone with a stupid tattoo.
A stick and poke coffee mug on my wrist about the size of a quarter in diameter.
But it doesn't hurt anyone, it can be covered up if necessary, and I like it.
