Yes to IDs, no to flags.
It's better to keep flags at /pol/ and /int/. I don't think the nationality of the poster matters outside of intercultural exchange and politics.

Flags fucking ruined /pol/, users that have potentially interesting things to say are silenced if they're from certain countries like Canada or India or Australia. Americans and Europeans can't even talk without fighting anymore, I mean this problem existed before but with flags it is literally impossible, I can't fucking stand /pol/ any longer, the flag memes can grind discussion to a halt.
