So basically the doc announced me that my vestibular system (in the inner ear, it's basically the system that allows us to be balanced, to walk straight, just like image stabilization on a camera) is defective.
He doesn't know why it happened, probably after a benign infection (otitis, flu, herpes, whatever) but the results are there : i'm not balanced anymore. I feel dizzy all the time, staying in front of a computer screen is hell, my head is rocking left and right like a broken metronome, and my eyes becomes red and tired extremely quickly since they have to try and compensate that lack of balance.
There's no treatment. There's no cure. It can last for months or it can last for the rest of my life. He said i have to stay active so my brain can try to recover and compensate that sudden lack of balance, but no guarantees.
I'm on the verge of losing my job, my (very small) social life is basically gone, i'm more depressed than i ever was, and i can't try to pass time or have a semblant of happiness playing video-games or watching movies anymore, as it makes me dizzy. The same kind of dizziness you experience when you don't know if it's your train moving or the one on the other track. Or the same kind of dizziness you experience on a boat during a light storm.
I'm done. My life is over at 25 years old.
Now allow me to post some pictures i took outside the other day, since i can still somewhat walk straight. For now.
