kinda like jaw surgery but I went to an orthodontist and they fixed me up.
I had a nasty overbite and they used some device to push my jaw forward, after that my jaw became very pronounced.
the device was painless but annoying at times and took a couple of years to work.

if a surgeon was going to do anything about it they'd probably just extract teeth from the top. what's more likely is that your bottom jaw is just too small and that combined with a poor bite makes it makes look like your top jaw is too far forward when really it's just your bottom jaw is too recessive
