About a year. I get acute epididymitis (inflammation of the cords attached to my testicles) from prolonged stress and anxiety. I was given large injections of depo provera once a week. They had no confirmation of any of my crimes but suspected I was a violent offender, and I was desperate for relief from my paraphilia so I cooperated and allowed them to try it. It is very distressing.
There is no cure, I will have to live with it for the rest of my life. I'm in therapy with a competent psychologist and psychiatrist now, though, and with their help they're making it easier for me to live with myself. It's not easy or quick but it's better than doing nothing. I just wish I could be aroused by other things, fapping is the only legal outlet I have.
After the first 2 weeks I'm good to go years without wanting to do it. The trick is to occupy yourself and stay away from porn.

Not in the slightest. A lot of the whole no-fap belief system involves more than just not fapping, it involves some level of self improvement that you should be doing in lieu of fapping.
