Only little difference I have heard from anyone was they said shrooms felt slightly less "mechanical". Best description I could say would be acid is "sharper" if that makes sense. The experience is VERY similar to the point where they are interchangeable, so I would take either I could get for the same affect.

You can grow shrooms yourself easily and it's legal to buy the spores (in all 50 states I'm pretty sure.) IMO it's very similar to LSD, the differences are a matter of taste but neither one is superior.
