A friend's RV trailer. It's actually considerably worse now and he straight up said he won't do anything more until he moves elsewhere and needs to sell/trade it away.
I've been over often enough it's damaged my sense of smell somewhat. I'd say it's about twice as bad as this because the floor is long since totally hidden, you can't take a single step without having to avoid a trip hazard, and the piles are 3ft high in places.
It's bad enough I subject myself to it just to get high and watch anime, but I can't fathom just giving up on life to the point where you're totally OK with living in worse conditions than any animal.
His mattress alone has been pissed and shat on by dogs a dozen times but he keeps on buying drugs and liquor instead of getting a cheap one off craigslist.
My room was worse than this before I moved out of my parents. Not really sure how it got that bad. It was always weird to be talking to people or out in public and then suddenly be thinking about you're neet cave at home.

I've told him the same shit literally hundreds of times by now. I'm the only person who's come over for ages that isn't just there to deliver weed and get out of that shithole quickly.
It kind of makes me feel like a shittier person by proxy, just being able to put up with it. About all I can accomplish on a regular basis is making him clean up immediately when his dogs shit inside (his fault) and even then that often requires I threaten to leave and take my anime drive with me.
I have never heard of anyone so capable of ignoring and putting up with such terrible and avoidable problems. It wouldn't take him a full day to make the place presentable again and I offer to help every time.

I just set a goal of removing one bags worth of trash every day and that got me to fully get cleaned up. This makes a lot of sense because he's said several times while hammered that he hates living out of an RV. He barely has enough water pressure to flush a toilet, his landlord/neighbor sometimes won't let him in to shower more than once a week, who has also failed to fix the guy's broken truck for almost a year now purely out of laziness.
So he can't shower often as he needs and can't go fucking anywhere aside from work without me or someone else taking him. I don't remember the last time he was able to do certain things he wanted like go out to see a movie or take his dogs to a park to walk.
I've mentioned things along these lines before but he can't afford a doctor, doesn't have insurance, and won't even check to see if he qualifies for Medicaid. Most of the time he hasn't had internet either because the landlord is an ignorant prick so the only time he gets new entertainment is when I bring something over.
I think most days I'm not around he knocks himself out with sleeping pills as much as possible.
