That sucks man, have you tried taking melatonin? Smoking weed? Cutting out caffeine?
It's hard for me to understand this sort of condition, I fall asleep pretty easily if I lie down.

I've tried all sorts of sleeping drugs. They just make me more tired, and more pained, but I still am unable to sleep.
It all hurts. I feel the sleepiness like I need to sleep. I just can't actually do it unless I stay up for over 3 days.

Sorry I took so long to respond, I went to take a shower since it's 8 AM and I have to stay up the rest of the day now.
Yes, I lie down and close my eyes, but no sleep comes. My mind is always racing with thoughts. There is no way to shut it up. I try to focus the thoughts on comfy but instead it just ends up being terrible.

I know all these feels. Only lasts up to two days though. Impossible to have a normal life and get work done normally.
