Honestly a 970 is more than enough, I have one with an i5-4690K and it runs perfectly, extreme graphics on everything, super high fps on everything. You don't need to shell out an extra 600 bucks for a few FPS difference. The large SSD is good though, I still have plenty of room on mine with a 256GB, wish I had gone bigger like you, though.
