Use a safety razor with some shaving cream, always shave with the grain.

Using a fragrance-free body lotion after shaving seriously helps too.

A safety razor is pretty great, but I would never use one except on my face. Those cartridge meme razors are inferior for the face but amazing for pubes. Use conditioner, a 3 or 4 blade cartridge razor, and shave against the grain. Even if you don't mutilate yourself using a DE it's still with the grain so it won't look or feel nice.
Itching and ingrown hairs is a meme. I mix brown sugar, mint and lemon essential oil, and coconut oil to make an exfoliating scrub. I use mint grapefruit and salt for my rest of body scrub. My skin is silky smooth. Even lifting heavy ass weights my hands are callus free thanks to a pumice stone.
