It's ironic that suddenly there's this fuss over blood drives, because the FDA explicitly bars gay and bisexual men from donating. Some outdated nonsense about the risk of HIV, even though 1.) modern screening methods have made such concerns obsolete, and 2.) you could be a straight guy who just walked away from a 20-hooker bareback gangbang and still be able to donate blood.
