why is it that people with aspies are either successful or fail at life?
also aspergers thread

maybe it's luck (for a positive outcome, this means the right circumstances to put talents and interests into use and get something in return occur)
I actually get autismbux, ask me anything.

aspies are basically savants that have had their shit fucked. if they're enough of a savant people just have to deal with their weirdness and if they're not people will hate them for being different
also has bill gates actually said he's autistic?
Aspies are the opposite of risk takers. They love routine and don't trust things they are unaccustomed too. Which means they have good connections, luck, or wind up failing at life.

It depends on what your special interest is. If it is 16th century poetry or dinosaurs - you're fucked.

>implying the world's greatest 16th century poetry historian and dinosaur archeologist aren't probably autists obsessed with those things

Bipolarian invading this thread: it is the same with bipolar disorder. Some craft really nice artsy stuff, others end up on the streets.
Also, at least I have "theory of mind" hahaahhaha
I know why
Because the aspergers who fail are the ones who cannot understand the subtle cues of body language, and they dedicate their highschool life trying to get it right.
The ones who are obscenely successful are the people who do r care about socialising, and dedicate their entire time to knowledge.
Playing video games also equates to specialising, because we want to appear cool and dominant in whatever we play, aspies that are considered genius play games for the challenge alone and never speak of their accomplishments.
I've spent a lot of time around the successful and unsuccessful aspergers from high school to college
