Tried it once. It was pretty alright. I felt pleasant and really wanted to listen to Pink Floyd (which is weird because I don't listen to them normally.) It's something I'd ever go out of my way to do, but I'd accept if offered.
It just heightens a bunch of your senses and your perception of shit, makes you contemplate everything way more deeply than you normally would
It used to effect my sense of touch and auditory senses really strongly when I first started smoking, but now that I've got a massive tolerance I don't notice the heightened sense as much, but it still effects my perception as much as it always did

You don't HAVE to. The drying/curing process already makes some of the cannabinoids convert to THC. Decarboxylation helps but if you eat enough raw dry weed you will get high.
It took years of me smoking just socially before I actually ever got high. I had some weird and strong feelings a few times, but at some point I actually started getting high and it's amazing. The best way to describe it is like being a kid trying everything for the first time again. All your senses experience greater pleasure too.

I've been smoking since I was 13, 18 now.
Sometimes I get fried, but it's mostly just a casual thing for me, like having a cup of coffee or a cigarette or a beer.
People make it out to be a much bigger deal than it really is. Though I will concede, if you're intentionally smoking as much as you can/doing dabs and shit, you will fly high in a way that's on tier with real drugs, but if you don't go crazy with it, it's not a big deal at all.

From high CBD strains leaving you warm and fuzzy and slow in an almost drunk like state to others making you hyper aware and exited, to being so high that you depersonalize in an almost psychedelic state.
Honestly, you can't really consider all weed to do the same thing, strains that vary a lot are like completely different drugs.

I started when I was quitting Xanax (I had an actual prescription for anxiety).
It was good for helping with the withdrawal symptoms, and really helped me sleep.
