Went to Las Vegas a couple weeks ago and I think I'm obsessed.

Why can't I just get over it? Why does Vegas have to be so fucking awesome? My town now feels boring as all fuck because of that trip.
I've lived in Vegas for years. Vegas isn't fucking awesome. I hate it here. The grass is always greener on the other side, friendo.

Never been, but I don't see the appeal. There's nice bars and hookers and trashy disgusting human beings in my city already. Not to mention entertainment, the only thing we don't really have is legalized gambling and prostitution, but it's still out there if you really want it. It seems like a really fake place just for pure entertainment, as someone who doesn't enjoy getting blackout drunk and/or gambling and seeing prostitutes, I really don't get what's so great about it. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Vegas bummed me out. I didn't do anything but it's weird fake city in the desert and the girl at the cvs seemed very sad.
I've lived in vegas since i was 2. This town is just like everyother town. There is shitty parts and non-shitty parts. The big new casinos like M and Cosmo never smell like smoke. the shitty downtown casinos smell like shit. just avoid down town.

About what calling it fake? it's a big shiny city in the middle of nowhere with zero production or resources, it's a contrived thing (obviously). Not my thing and overall the trip was hell (decided to drive over 25 hours each way on a whim)
I've always thought of Vegas as a microcosm of the West in general. Artificial, unnatural (no sane civilization would stick a city in the middle of the desert in 120+ heat), presenting you with little distractions at every turn. All with the goal of milking the ignorant out of their money. Truly the Jew's utopia

Buddy comes to Vegas to visit celebrate his 25 year of being a kissless virgin, he stays at Circus Circus, a complete dump, has a shrimp cocktail and gets food poisoning

Can they go with him to his hotelroom, can he help them get away, he agrees, daughter is about 30, lots of sores, he says, he thought it was from torture, I told him more like meth
They beat him up, zip tied him, took all his stuff, he gave up his pin numbers and they cleaned him out, even passed a ton of checks, that he signed, there pimp/boyfriend/helper arrived after they zipped him up, they filmed him getting raped by the black pimp, sucked his dick too, they took his car, it was sold to some stupid illegal and was recovered outside a slaughter house in Omaha, it had been stock when they took it, he got it back "Mexicanized"
He was bloody and tied up when the maid came in at 1pm, hotel security, cleaned him up and gave him a robe, guy called me, I get over there, he is crying, security says no cops, they have him a coupon for half off another night
Took him to the hospital, he told them he was drunk and woke up in the gutter, nude, robbed and his ass hurt
Another "Winner" who headed home from Vegas with only memories in his pocket
Tbh that's too much money.
I'd rather save all that money and just drink and get high int he comfort of my room with my vidya. Get a hooker from time to time sure, but otherwise why bother with the rest.

Seems really weird that it's full of people that are unaware of the insanity that's going on around them, or people who are aware and for whatever reason enjoy it to the same effect
