Historically it's not like we're any more "evil" (read - colonialist and brutal at times) than any other country, it's just that, for a long time, we happened to be best at it. So the modern world has directly evolved from a point at which whites has much of the global power, leading to our acts of conquest being relatively recent in memory and as such us being vilified to a much greater degree. (although even then, during our times of conquest and slavery its not like practically every other race wasn't doing the same thing, just on a smaller scale.
