The are many comfy games out there. But pic related is objectively THE COMFIEST GAME to ever exist. Nothing can compete except for the first one, which is a close second
>>29239276
I think terraria is quite comfy desu
Pathologic
>>29240559
Even the music was comfy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkqieJ_Hs8U
Comfort is the only thing that keeps me from hollowing.
Gothic 1 and 2, Mafia 1 and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R trilogy are my go to games when I want to get really comfy.
>>29240668
Stalker is a weird mix of a game that makes me feel comfy and a game that makes me feel hopeless and alone.
>>29240591
Not comfy in the slightest.
>>29239276
Also not very comfy. When I first played this game, I always felt paranoid dungeon crawling, especially in Daedric shrines and Dwarven ruins.
Pic related is comfy as hell.
>>29240606
I really love this.
>>29240628
Firelink shrine from DS1 and Majula from DS2 always calmed me down. Firelink shrine especially. I guess because 2011 was a stressful year for me and coming home and playing Dark Souls was my way of relaxing, as strange as it sounds.
And the Majula theme is the definition of comfy.

Pokemon Gold.
>inb4 normie
Walking around Goldenrod and the surrounding routes at night, talking to NPC's as waited for my Eevee to evolve into Umbreon. One of my all time favourite games. Unfortunately, Pokemon went to shit after Gen 3.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1-VyHIx_SY
>>29239276
Never played Witcher 3 but it looks comfy.
>>29240863
being afraid of sounding normie is the gayest thing you can do on an anonymous imageboard
>>29240890
I don't fear it, I just don't want people to turn the comfy thread into a robot vs normie shitfest.
>>29239276
MY NIGGA.
Morrowind with some fucking Soundgarden or Velvet Revolver or some shit is the comfiest.
>>29240805
Majula is comfy as well.
But I never really spent enough time in Majula to enjoy it, with the warp function being accessible from the get go and all.
>>29240863
>Unfortunately, Pokemon went to shit after Gen 3.
youre one of THOSE
Don't turn this thread into a bunch of shit flinging you autists.
I doubt /r9k/ is old enough to have played anything earlier than seventh generation, but Gauntlet was hands down the best bro game in its day. Nothing beats smiting endless waves of enemies while prancing around in BDSM. (Although your characters progressively gained more clothing as you leveled up)
The difficulty was easy as shit though, unless maybe you were playing the arcade version.
>>29241038
It didn't feel the same once they gave my sprite more than 10 pixels.
>>29240928
I get what you mean. At first I only went there to level up, but after a while I would just screw around and stare at that sun while the comfy music was playing.
Also the menu theme from DS1 was soothing as well. It makes me feel like I'm sitting at a bonfire by myself about to go on some hopeless journey.

Too bad.
starts out pretty slow but still good
>that clean motor sound
>that smooth road sound
>those perfect controls
>czech classic radio
The comfiest of them all
>>29241087
Exactly man.
I enjoyed sitting around at the bonfire and talking with the other Undead at Firelink Shrine before embarking on another one of my adventures. And getting more and more sad as their numbers began to dwindle as more and more of them go hollow
I actually really like Fallout 4 right now. I've completed all quests in base game and DLCs, so now I'm building up my settlements to be full towns so we can repopulate the Commonwealth.
Each settlement serves a purpose. Sanctuary is the seat of govt, Red Rocket is a fortified shantytown for crafting, Hangman's Alley is a safe harbor on the edge of the chaotic urban ruins, Spectacle Island is the site for my Far Harbor knock-off dock town, Longfellow's Cabin has got a bar every five feet as a spring break kinda place, etc.
They're all connected by supply caravans, and each one has a Minuteman Mortar. All my settlers are decked out in the excess loot of my defeated enemies. It's a very hopeful feeling.
>>29241240
That's really cool Anon.
I wish that they expanded more on the Minutemen.
Like instead of making them a bunch of babysitters for the settlements, why not make them a faction who wants to unite the chaotic commonwealth under one flag?
It had so much potential and it really disappointed me.
I got bored of it the quickest out of all of the Fallout games.
>Crtl+F
>no "The Sims"
At least I can be a Chad and have successful polyamorous relationships with as many Sim partners as I want. How does it get more comfy than that?
Its music and atmosphere is just so relaxing and soothing.
>>29241240
that sounds fun as fuck, for some reason i just can't get into games on that level, which is a shame since literally all i do is play games all day and enjoy it maybe 20% of the time
>>29241312
Good choice as well Anon.
I enjoyed inviting my normalfag coworkers over in the game, moved all of my furniture out of the room, placed flammable objects all over the place, started a fire, and watched them all burn using my magic spells thanks to an expansion pack.
>>29239276
anything comfy for android? already got bored of FFVI after maxing out almost everyone familia
>>29241198
Especially this man. If I could have a friend like him irl, my life would be a little better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY5M5Zm_sPQ
One of the few good people in the game.
Old minecraft was super comfy, even the music- https://youtu.be/N8yP5ipKDvQ
>>29241361
Mount and Blade does a good job of fulfilling those fantasies.
I enjoyed the early game of liberating entire towns from a bunch of bandits and being hailed as a hero, to the late game of defending my country from a warmongering country as a vassal. And I use the power I gained from it to stab them in the back and create my own kingdom from its ashes.
>>29241312
was the sims made for robots to simulate the normie life?
>>29241310
I definitely see what you mean. However, I think that the goals of the Minutemen are whatever you, the player, wish them to be. I mean, you are the General after all.
However, more direct control over them would have been cool. Like, whenever I call some backup with the flare gun, it's always some scrubs in leather armor, rags, and pipe weapons showing up. I would have liked the ability to make sure that Minutemen have better gear or loadouts somehow, like maybe paying for better gear at the Castle, or establishing training regimens to improve their skills or send them on specific patrols or whatever.
>>29241361
It's a lot of fun. At Spectacle Island, I'm building a replica of Far Harbor, the town, which is the first location you find in the new DLC. I always thought it was such a cool place but hated that I couldn't modify it. My knock-off, Near Harbor, is a long, wide dock with a few buildings on it. I've finished the overall structure, have beds and shops set up, wired some lights in, and now I'm decorating with junk to give it extra personality, to make it feel lived in.
>>29241398
Laurentius is great since the pyromancy he gave me saved my ass in Sens Fortress and helped me kill that prick Lautrec by using the Chaos Fireball.
Feels good that I managed to prevent his hollowing.

>trying to hit things when your fatigue bar is empty
>blaming the game for your own retardation
Dark Souls is honestly super comfy to me, especially 1.
It's a game you can master with enough play that it really becomes a very repeatable and sort of short experience, yet you always need to be thinking about the route you're taking for your build, and you need to be focused or you'll get killed, this means I won't be thinking about bad or shitty things while I play.
It's just very satisfying.
One of my personal favorites is Jade Empire. The game had it's share of problems but it was an enjoyable experience. Also one of the few games I hope doesn't get a sequel, given how Bioware operates these days. Probably wouldn't even by made today without someone complaining about "appropriating" Asian culture.
Here is some comfy oriental music from the game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzZXYDrgbk0
Some lil guy spending winter nodding off next to the fire in a comfy little base you made
Arx Fatalis
The town and the first tavern are so comfy
But the cavern and the monsters are horrible
>>29241535
Yeah exactly.
And that makes it all the more intense when something unexpected happens like an invasion.
Fuck the asshole who cucked me out of the last humanities I needed to unlock the shortcut to Lost Izalith and save Solaire.
>Kill everyone
>Take over New Vegas with the robot army you usurped from House
And that's probably the only "good" path you can take with the story. Every faction is pretty evil if you dig deep enough into their political or social views, which made player choices infinitely more interesting than in Fallout 3.
>>29241403
Hate to admit it but yes, it seemed more simpler, yet interesting
comfiest world
>>29241459
It's pretty fucking good. The atmosphere is really interesting, it's a heavily wooded, foggy, swampy area with lots of "water" themes. Playing it on Survival mode is probably gonna be hardcore as fuck. The Island is fairly big and also pretty dense. Since the Fog is so thick, you can't see too far ahead of you, so there's a palpable sense of tension as you're running around. You know that you could blunder upon some enemy patrol or monster without even seeing them.
The quests and factions are likable, and the settlements are cool too. New factions are the Harbormen (crusty fishing folk) and the Children of the Atom, who get a lot of characterization here and come across as a formidable threat once you take a look at the gear they're packing (lots of assault rifles and high grade combat armor)
My only complaint is that it doesn't do enough to boost settlement building, but I'm biased. Only 4 new settlements and most of the REALLY cool set pieces you see out in the Fallout 4 world still aren't available to use as building items in the workshop.
That comfy soundtrack.
its always nice to wind down with some of dem pops on a late night
>>29241590
I liked the factions a lot better in New Vegas than in 4.
I personally sided with house because of the reason why the world was fucked in the ass by nukes.
There are pretty much no resources left.
So humanity is fucked if they stay on Earth.
And House is the only faction in the entire franchise that has a solution to that problem.
But even then, judging by the lore of 3 and 4 the Zetans will probably fuck that up too.
Pretty damn depressing.
>all these Souls fans
You should play King's Field, the forgotten bastard father of Souls. The first three games are probably going to seem dated as fuck, but Ancient City is pretty detailed. From also developed Shadow Tower and Eternal Ring, which are based on the same game engine.
>>29241611
Oh man I can't wait.
I love atmospheric shit.
>>29241312
I made my sim a comfy seaside cottage and had it make friends with all the other sims I made. The perfect world where acting like a sperg actually gets you friends.
>>29241365
I starved mine out.
fable 2 is pretty comfy
>>29240805
>tfw I took a wrong turn and didn't find Majula until 3 hours into the game
>>29241713
There's literally only one path out of the tutorial, and it leads to Majula, retard.
The entire series was comfy to me TR games always presented you with rich atmospheres and encouraged you to explore every nook and cranny of them. Although everything pre-Crystal Dynamics is probably really dated now.
>>29241681
Take Nick Valentine with you whenever you talk go to the Synth settlement, and use the new companion, Longfellow (an old, drunk, crusty fisherman) for everything else.
They also added in new, better radiant quests for settlements on The Island. Like, when your settlement gets attacked by raiders, after you kill off the attacking team, you have to go find their hideout and wipe the gang. Also, most of the wildlife doesn't leave the Fog, so settlements have these Fog Condensers that push back the Fog. One radiant quest is where those will shut down and your settlement gets fucking MOBBED by Mirelurks and freaky water monsters until you can repair the condensers. It's really tense since those monsters are all really strong and they attack in large numbers to boot.

So to the Souls fans ITT.
What's your builds?
I went with a greatsword build.
Slamming the Zweihander on an enemies head was so satisfying.

>playing Floating Islands at night with headphones
>>29241768
I NEED THAT DLC!
>>29241676
Thanks for the recommendations anon. I'll be sure to check it out.
>>29241087
That's the one thing I nitpicked about DS3. The Firelink Shrine theme isn't comfy anymore. It's spooky now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul_ZRos42c0
DS1 remains my favorite out of the three, but I still consider Majula as the comfiest hub out of the three games.
>>29241403
That music omg
Those were comfy times.
>>29241819
Well I suppose it fits, the Age of Fire is ending no matter what.
>>29241571
Arx Fatalis is tragically underrated.
If you haven't already played it, look into Vagrant Story. Similar concept, but different presentation. The battle system is hard to describe, but it's not exactly realtime. The game pauses the moment you prepare your targeting parameters so you can choose which abilities to use, but there's no restriction on when you can unleash actions.
The game is hard as balls though. The affinity system demands that your equipment be precisely tuned before you can deal damage to anything. "Affinities" are complex elemental and racial properties used to set up resistances, and pretty much every foe resists all but one affinity.
>>29241749
What I meant was that I didn't interact with anyone/anything in Majula, didn't even light the bonfire, didn't even notice there were people there. I didn't realize it was an important place so I went straight to the forest of lost giants.
>>29241940
Okay I can sort of understand the lack of people thingie but you didn't light the bonfire?
Really?
Here's a pretty comfy game I used play way back in the day. I think I might have played it more than Pokemon back then.Just building up a farm from nothing while trying to find a waifu. Why couldn't my life turn out like that?
>>29241986
I told you I didn't even see the woman standing next to it. It was a major brainfart or I was blinded by excitement.
>>29241890
I never got very far in vagrant story but goddamn did it have some good cinematography
>>29242132
I can understand not seeing the Emerald Herald since she kind of blends into the scenery.
But come on dude.
>>29242180
It's a big place, it's not hard to miss a bonfire sometimes. It also happened to me in DS1, missed the first bonfire after Quelaag. Found ceaseless discharge and I was like "wtf two bosses in a row and no bonfire?!".
>>29242279
>missing both bonfires after queelag
the hidden one sure, but goddamn both
>sotc hasn't been posted
you guys are hopeless
you merely adopted comfyi was born in it.molded by it.
>>29241633
Yeah point n click adventures are always comfy for some reason, maybe it's because of the detailed environments and the narration. Stuff like Broken Sword, the Longest Journey and Syberia always made me feel warm inside. You people would fuckin love Syberia.
>>29241766

>Got into Sims as a child
>Every time I played it at a different age, I played it differently.
>As an angry, frustrated child with Sims 1, I killed people and made chaotic structures with no meaning.
>As a calmer child, first showing the signs of being a robot, in the Sims 2, I created long stories about the end of civil society and the beginnings of a new culture based around the worship of consumerism itself. Structures were boxy. Functional. But not nice to look at. Sims dropped dead at work, not caring for anything other than their money.
>In the Sims 3, as a teenager who accepted his robot nature, I built nice houses. Ones I wanted to live in. My sims were international men of mystery who travelled the world and impregnated everybody. They grew rich through a new American imperialism that compelled them to distant lands for plunder and conquest.
>Finally, I returned to Sims 2 as a young man with new tastes. I build A E S T H E T I C buildings. I modded the game to make the universe more cyberpunk. I have a long lore written about the cities I build and the people who reside in them. All for my personal pleasure. All my cities have consistent tech and lore - The world in 2039 is a cyberpunk dystopia trapped in the culture of the 1980's as global war and disaster destroys the old world order, making way for new superpowers and great powers. My sims live happy lives, ignorant of the chaos and horror that awaits them, ignorant of the coming global post-nuclear war, fought by nanoweapons, cyborg soldiers, computer viruses and self-aware AI, giant robots capable of killing a million people in one attack run. It's my view of the future that awaits us all.Yes I know I'm a giant faggot pls don't laugh at me
>>29242583
What I need is a good tv. I have an old CRT philips, 21 inches. The joys of being neet...
GTA: San Andreas always felt super comfy to me. When I was a kid I used to play through this game every year in the winter time while it snowed.
It gets even more comfy when you leave the city and can explore the country area.
>>29242698
that is true, I used to have a 13" memorex, when I finally upgraded I was amazed that the stars in FF7s opening were actually circles instead of squares
>>29242634
A building I made about last month.
A former motel in the red light district of a small city in Nevada - the two bottom levels were purchased by a mall corporation, who converted them into stores. The top level remains in operation - Although the light pollution and noise has only made the hotel reviews worse.
>>29242796
Is that Sims 2? that actually looks pretty nice.
>>29241403
I miss classic and infdev
Fucking normies ruined the game I liked and the server I went
REEEE
>>29242849
Yep.
This is a sheriff's station I built for the city in Nevada. I wish the flag was taller and better modelled, but it was the only one I could find that was consistent with the lore of the city.
Where's the love?
My only real complaint is that I suck dick at it. Or I can't win for shit due to not paying cash for card packs. Not sure which.
>>29241598
best smb game hands down! You have good taste anon!
>>29241403
I thought this was a comfy thread, I didn't ask for these feels.
>>29242773
I used to have a 14" philips when I was in college, had to sit down on the floor right in front of it like a freakin 5 year old. A friend gave me Dead Rising one day and I couldn't read the freakin tutorial so I didn't play it. At some point I put it on a chair right next to my bed and one day it fell down while I was playing guitar hero 3 and broke. Had to pay some faggot 60 euros for another one, which was a 14" sony. It's in my parents' room now.
No picture, but Contagion in single player or Hamachi LAN with a friend. On MAX settings, it's so comfy. If you shoot the zombos at a range so they don't spook you, then you can take your time exploring and really having fun. The only time it has been in comfy to me has been the Bank Alarm part on the very first level of Escape mode. Can't remember the name.
Roanoke PD is the most comfy desu
Harvest moon : back to nature. Actually all the old ones, before they made it "3d".
Garry's Mod was always super comfy to me. Download a nice large map and just explore. maybe use a car and just drive if it had roads.
comfiest game in existance
>>29243005
*The only time it HASN'T been comfy
Ori and the Blind Forest has a cool atmosphere to it and koality art.
>>29242912
dang nice, post more pics and some of your lore, im interested
>>29241359
The first one is among my favorite games, but it's too fast paced to be comfy IMO
>>29243078
Perfect game to zone out of reality while playing.
>>29243148
>tfw you will never be held like this
>>29241590
500 hours in one year I spent on that game. I wish I could still enjoy it, but I've played it 12 times, done every single quest in every way imaginable, played a bunch of different classes, even tried out some mods, but I've milked it dry, at least for the next year or two. If Obsidian ever makes another fallout game I would freak out, even if it's top-down
>>29242634
lmao
nah youre alright
>>29240591

>>29243220
it's so cute tho ;-;
>>29243237
Same deal here. About all that's left for me are new content mods and maybe finally doing a pacifist run.
>>29243256
Goddamnit originali
Peter Jackson's King Kong is surprisingly decent. I played it on PS2 when I was younger
>>29241087
That fucking main menu theme. Really makes me feel like I'm all alone sitting in front of a bonfire, and basking in the comfort of a dying flame before I continue my hopeless journey.
>>29243360
This. I wish they would have done something similar for 2 and 3, rather than muh ominous generic gregorian chant bullshit
dark souls fags itt please kysim triggered
Man this game is so comfy, just listen to that music : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtZifR4xQyw
>>29242915
Kalas knight?
I'm an infinite arena player on HS, playing constructed with a F2P account can be pretty frustrating.
The fishing hole in Twilight Princess would relax the shit out of me. Could be the most beautiful game I've played.

In 2019 a second US Civil War began over the Second Amendment. Without US deterrence in NATO nations, the world quickly fell into war as China invaded Japan, the Koreas destroyed themselves, and mainland Europe was overtaken by an Islamist insurgency. India and Pakistan's war heated up, and became the world's first MAD nuclear war. Six months later in 2020, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Osaka were nuked by the Chinese PLA. In retaliation, Japan unleashed the Assault Mecha superweapon on the Chinese east coast. By the end of the war, Chinese social order had completely fallen apart, unable to comprehend the sheer amount of civilian dead Japan had inflicted as vengeance - 170 megadeaths.
In the US, the war had become a repeat of the first civil war - North versus South. Confederate forces destroyed Washington DC in 2021, while secessionist forces spring up all over the union. By 2022, the federal government was forced to surrender, as the newly-restored Republic of Texas builds its first nuclear weapon and threatens Megacity One - New York. However, in 2034, the Soviet Union, which had never collapsed, invades the Republic of Alaska and the US state of Hawaii, as Mexico invades Arizona and New Mexico The US, powerless to stop it, does nothing to resist. The Alaskan government-in-exile relocates to the Northwestern Republic. The Confederate States is hit by the secession of South Florida, and along with it, the economically vital Megacity of Miami. An agreement is reached to make South Florida its own state, and South Florida returns to Confederate control.
The Republica De California invades Arizona and liberates it from Mexican control - at the cost of Arizona's independence. The Republica De Colorado liberates New Mexico - Also at the cost of the state's independence. In 2035, the Free Trade Republic of Nevada joins California - Allowing it to focus on economic domination while California foots the bill for its defence.
>>29243389
DSII's menu theme was pretty calming though. Although not as comfy as the first one. DSIII is where they went full ominous. But I guess it fits with the tone of the game like this >>29241852 anon said.

Holy shit, I was about to post this.
I think it's the music and people.
For me, it was this and the PS1 Spyro trilogy.
>tfw the rest of the J&D games turned the series into an edgy shitfest
Surely I can't be the only one who finds Yume Nikki incredibly comfy?
Getting ready to settle in for a night of D3. This game never gets old for me, it literally never ends. Combined with some good music, it usually makes me feel better unless I'm already in a bottomless pit of self-loathing.

Meanwhile in Europe, the Islamists form a caliphate, taking over France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, North Italy and the Megacity of London. The Pope formally declares a crusade for Europe, and soon the continent is embroiled in a nuclear war, as both sides resort to genocidal measures to destroy their enemy
In Africa, the continent is half-empty from a resistant malaria strain. Major corporations literally buy parts of the continent, and with the precious African resources at stake, the world's first corporate war breaks out for control of the Congo, as corporations become political entities in themselves
In Australia, the end of global trade results in petrol shortages. Soon the Australian government collapses, leading to the age of road wars, where gangs fight each other for control of highways
In the Middle East, an unsupported Israel finds itself surrounded by enemies - And its Samson Option may soon be inadequate for holding them off - The world is now on a time limit before Israel launches the first nuclear shots of a truly global post-nuclear war
South America was also hit by resistant malaria, forcing many of the inhabitants of Brazil to North America - And to the Megacity of Miami.
All in all, since 2019, the world population has been cut down to five billion, and 34 countries no longer exist. The year is now 2039 - And the world is doomed to World War IV
My cities so far are -
Belladonna Cove, South Florida, Confederate States of America - The latest city to be "acquired" by the Miami Megacity Corporation. It is a South Florida city filled with North Florida people - And they are not happy about being considered part of Miami.
Crystal Springs, Nye County, Free Trade Zone of Nevada, Republic of California - After the destruction of Las Vegas during the 2nd Civil War, many Nevadan cities tried to become the new Vegas. Crystal Springs is one of those cities. It is performing...poorly,I am too autistic.

Preventing their expansion is merely delaying the inevitable. I much prefer their style to the legion. They represent the establishment trying to reinvent itself. There's no other effective solution.

Dark souls 3 not itself is pretty fucking spooky.
The bottom of the locked tower in firelink literally froze me up and chilled me to the bone the first time I found it.
I literally spent 5 minutes in there speculating.
Not to mention the untended graves theory onour firelink shrine not being the real firelink since it is completely disconnected from the rest of the game, remember how we warp to the first area instead of go there manually?

But i really like your 80s cyber punk scene and A S T H E T I C taste, just remmeber to add an anarchist faction in one of your US factions,it goes well with 80s punk scene.

I have drug dealers, mobsters, andUS remnants plotting to bring down the secessionist countries from within.
Although I think my Miami hood can do with a few more street gangs. I have a black rapper character but I had him be the type who leaves the streets and the hood the first chance he gets, because he isn't a total fucking moron. Now he's in a middle class waterfront apartment with his coalburner main bitch who also fucks all his friends behind his back, and is siphoning his rap career profits to rip him off when she grows sick of him.
And now, some music I use to inspire myself, and what I use for buy/build music:

It's the second floor of Belladonna Cove's premier strip cluband illegal whorehouse"FUG"
It was started by acclaimed Miamiwood director Schlomo Shekelstein, and is part owned by popular comedy actor David Goldberg. The duo have a close friendship, having been roommates in college. Shekelstein graduated in political science while Goldberg graduated in drama. The two are often seen in public discussing their newest project, and are considering reaching out to up and coming Miami rapper Tony "Ten Millimeter" Jackson for a place in their newest romance film, set during the First Civil War.Both are US sympathisers trying to corrupt the youth.

This is Tony "Ten Millimeter" Jackson while he still lived in the hood. Struggling with his weight due to TV dinners being the only food he could afford, he took to free-styling on the street for some money for healthy food. A former convict for attempted murder, he was released from Dade Correctional Institution in 2037 for good behaviour. He fell back into a life of crime, but his voice was eventually noticed by a talent agent on the Miami mass transit system, who left his card with Jackson. Soon after calling, Jackson was given a back up vocal spot with established New Orleans rapper Demarcus Kindle, who mentored the young Jackson in the rap business. Jackson released his first album Megahood with Kindle's support in 2038 and has since produced another single, Mosquitoes In The Lamp, which was inspired by the death of his childhood friend from the 2024 Advanced Resistant Malaria strain (Also known as the Liberian Flu,) an incident which scarred Jackson deeply.
He is being considered for the lead role of the new Shekelberg romance movie, as yet unnamed, which is set during the First War of Northern Aggression. The movie details the story of a young black Union soldier, and the wife of a Confederate officer whom he is tasked with guarding during her house arrest. The plot of the announced movie has already attracted some criticism from several right-wing Confederate political figures including the Governor of Florida, calling it "deliberately subversive and intended to cause offence." However, several liberal politicians have been supportive, calling it a chance to heal the wounds between the CSA and USA following the War of Federal Aggression, or the Second American Civil War.

This is Yukari Koizumi, a Japanese refugee from the Third Sino-Japanese War. She was 24 when her birthplace of Tokyo was struck with 13 nuclear weapons. Surviving the incident due to an emergency surgery to nano-augment the young woman, she has been dependent on a cocktail of drugs to stay alive since the surgery. While the augments have dramatically extended her lifespan to almost 300 years, she is also infertile, her reproductive organs removed due to her irradiation, and replaced by machinery that allows her augments to function correctly. Over 60% of her skin is also artificial, the real skin having sloughed off due to severe burns. She later moved to the Megacity of Miami after becoming a recluse in Japan due to her augmented status.
She was the first South Florida nanoaugmented woman to be featured on national television, and was the star of a popular cooking show, detailing various traditional Asian recipes. She is also an avid painter, and fan of the NBA. She entered a relationship with her co-host, but a violent reaction with her nanobots caused his death during sex. She has since retired to a former army helibase converted into a mansion, rarely accepting guests except by helicopter. Once a month, a delivery of drugs is dropped off on her helipad.
The isolation has turned her...eccentric.

Built a 3D engine in high school from the ground up, and used it to make a small comfy city by the sea. Was planning to take it full MMO but didn't have the skills to make that happen. Shame I didn't do more with it.
Other than that, some comfy games:
> GTA SA
> Sonic CD (and especially the soundtrack)
> Virtua Fighter (1 / PC)
> Creatures
> Sonic Adventure 2
> Battlefield 1942 (while listening to 40s Swing music)
> Pretty much everything for the Nintendo 64,eg Zelda OOT/MM, Mario 64, Cruisin' World, DK, Kirby, ...
> Classic Pokemon (RBY, GSC, RSE)
> Dynasty Warriors IV (hard to explain)
> Age of Empires (1, 2)
>Need for Speed (2, 3, maybe HS)
> Sim City 2000
But perhaps comfiest of them all were the VRML worlds that were popular in the 90s and early 2000s. I don't think the browser protocol is still compatible, but man...
