Did you know that persons with autism tend to move awkwardly unconsciously?
>>
This is why I believe a sweater with pockets and sunglasses are the best inventions created my man. Include earbuds as well.
>>
>tfw you have "awkwardly good posture" when walking
>tfw you stick out like a sore thumb when you're in a group because your back is so straight
>was made fun of it in high school because of it and tried to consciously hunch a little bit to fit in
>people actually respect it once I stopped giving a shit

Fuck it, walk however is comfortable and pretend you're not self-conscious about it. The most awkward part of one's gait is when it looks forced. Never, ever, walk manually.
>>
Studies show in mice that autism may actually cause subjects to have abnormal sensory compared to regular subjects, causing those with autism to feel their surroundings differently and therefore causing them to move and react differently. The study has only been done in mice so far, but sounds pretty telling.

walk with your shoulders relaxed and make sure sure youre walking in an upright position, no slouching. You should take long strides(not massive strides, retard) and land with your heel to the ground first. You should be looking ahead in the direction your walking, also smile at people you walk by once in awhile. Aspie.
>>
>>29236964
even thinking this confirms you have mental retardation

if you think of walking while walking it's too late for you

there is an NO RETURN policy on tism

>walking around manually in high school
>keep hands in pockets
>no where to put my fucking arms so I wear a jacket with pockets on the front
>to this day never dropped the habit

I also walked on the tips of my feet almost constantly at home so my leg muscles are fucked forever unless I get surgery or exercise the muscles for years

It would be impossible for me to do walking-intensive jobs as an example, my legs get sore after a a few hours and its almost impossible to walk for a while after and my heels simply will not land before the front of my foot due to the anatomy of my leg at this point

>Where do i keep my arms?
relax, but make your elbows tense so they don't swing
>Where do i look?
where you are going
>Do i keep the leg muscles loose or tightened?
the fuck does that mean? as in how close you should keep them? men shoulder length/ women keep feet closer and ahead of each other
>How do i walk normally?
make sure pressure you exert towards the ground starts with your heel and extends outwardly towards the little toes rather than big toes and your feet will do the rest magically by itself

and of course the most important aspect of walking - KEEP YOUR FUCKING SPINE STRAIGHT YOU FAGGOT - it'll probably will help you with breathing properly too
>>
>tfw a friend told me I walked like a Grand Theft Auto character and everyone started laughing at me
>>
>>29237006

k listen autismo, you should be thinking about how you carry yourself all the time. If you have ever gone to high profile business meeting, (i know you haven't) you would know the importance of posture and presentation.

>>
>>29237101
no it actually is how you are supposed walk without looking like a retard

it only looks stupid if your form to begin with is horrible and you have bad posture

seriously straight spine and heels first and as anon pointed out relaxed shoulders will make you look confident (and maybe less ugly too)

Here's a pro-tip for walking in crowded areas:

In order to avoid the awkward shuffle thing where you come face-to-face with another person and don't know which direction to go around them, make a conscious effort to look only in the direction in which you are walking. For example, if you are on a collision course with another person, and you wish to go around them on the right side, look past them on that side of their body. They will see that you are looking past them on that side and they will know that that is where you intend to walk, so they can adjust their course accordingly.

Well im self employed and have a lot of free time and money to do the things i enjoy. I can focus on fitness and music because I dont have to work 40 hours a week.

The neet life seems like a very sad existence and its just that, youre just existing and waiting to die. I on the other hand get to travel to exotic places and again, live a healthy and fulfilling life.

shit after so much time I find thread that I can identify with

As a tip for this issue I read somewhere that "stomach" breathing is the key to feel relaxed and retain relaxed natural posture . They said it even boosts your confidence because feel more relaxed and natural
>>
>>29238406
no, I adjust my foot for the landing so to speak (I don't even english properly)
>>
Here's a list of techniques i've developed to walk normally, or at least in a comfortable way

1 The Fish Hook: imagine a giant fish hook is lodged into your neck and feel your limbs swinging free

2 The Priapus: if you need to exude confidence as you walk, just pretend your penis is erect and you want to display it like a monkey

3 The Rhythm Master: if you're listening to music follow the rythm, your legs should follow the upbeat and your arms the downbeat
>>
>ITT people who would really benefit from a trip to a good chiropractor.
>>
>>29237811

Strictly speaking, they didn't have autism. They just displayed signs similar to autism. The mice were engineered to have a more sensitive sense of touch, and then placed in a cage with normal mice. The engineered mice were less social than their normal counterparts, and chose to stay in their own area, as you might guess, this is pretty autistic. Especially considering mice are highly social animals, just like human beings.

Actually, I rent a small one bedroom condo because its cozy and in a nice area. I have the freedom to move when I please. I could afford a mortgage but I dont want to make a commitment like that yet. I dont even know if I want to stay in Canada when I decide to settle down. Don't have to be so salty friend.

I usually walk with my left hand in my pocket, and my right hand either gently swinging back and forth with a cigarette in it, or using my phone. It's how I don't start manually walking and spaghetti.

salty about free everything? that's a strange concept to me. i'm healthy, happy, free to do what i want when i want to and not living as a "part time" work mule for R.R Goldstien. if you could say the same, you wouldn't be triggered by being called a wagie, would you?

what happened to belitting someone for not knowing the nuances of "buisiness meetings of higher importance", hmm? all those smiles seemed to have dried up like an old broken down well on your side. very interesting indeed.
