The MBTI is not a horoscope that tells you your fate, or an excuse to behave a certain way. It's a tool to help you better understand yourself and how you interpret sensory data so you can figure out how to better interact with the rest of the world.

It's really no different than the big 5 which is generally accepted by most psychologists (the 5 measures on there can be strongly correlated with the letters in MBTI -- the only difference is the big 5 claims that some traits are better than others while MBTI highlights the upsides and downsides of each type). It's not exactly a self fulfilling prophecy, as each type has a pretty distinct and different personality description -- it'd be hard to shoehorn yourself into a type that you don't actually fit. The only real flaw it has is that it relies on self reporting, but the same goes for most other personality tests really.

Introverted intution is like a reflexive automatic version of introverted thinking. Both are trying to abstract the underlying principles behind events.
Introverted intuition does this by drinking in the important details by taking in as much information from the outside world as possible and allowing the brain to "conjure" up an the relationships between the events by sitting on the information.
Whereas Ti works more like an incredibly flexible and adaptive computer that thinks more in terms of comparisons and logic in order "straighten" out ideas.
For example, INFJs (Dominant Ni, tertiary Ti) use Ni to conceive a new idea/conclusion, and use Ti to soften out the rough edges and logically structure the idea in a way that can be more easily understood and worked with by others and the INFJ themself.
I would try and explain how it compares to Ne but I don't think I understand it well enough desu.

I really hate the nicknames for most types. Especially the INTJ and the INFJ. Famous INTJs mathematicians and scientists have said so themselves that they're not "scientific" thinkers, but rather intuitive thinkers that rely on explosive insights to change their field and power their studies. Even the mastermind title is not very good as most INTJs are impartial to being a leader. Visionary/trailblazer is a much better title.
INFJs on the other hand aren't all mushy wushy feel good carers. A lot of INFJs are autistic thinkers and will often confuse themselves for INTJs/INTPs if they too far on the Ni/Ti side as everyone thinks INFJs are dreamy hippies and not hard hitting intellectuals like Sam Harris. They should be called the philosopher type as cringey as that sounds.

How do we compare? I don't know. Never had chance to compare. Basically I act shy and shit, just like typical virgin girl. If she offered me sex or a blowjob I probably would run away panicking. You see, I reason that as a student living with their parents, a relationship is a bad idea, and so I stay away. There's also the fact that I'm at a constant battle against my feelings, and so depending on what wins I'll act that way.
Unfortunately for my DNA I'm an INTP and my rationale always wins. It puts away the small warm light that you can call my affection and leaves me cold and dark.
I met an INFP girl that I got the attention of, and one picnic lead to some other stuff like staring competitions, talks about fetishes, my preference for girls etc.
The only problems were that my ratonale was winning a few battles during that time (my affection was quite high) so I stepped down during some instances, and the biggest factor to why nothing happened: she was an INFP, and I an INTP. I stayed away because I knew and saw hints of the future

Military just isn't the lifestyle for me
Under direct orders from people that I absolutely cannot disobey. And then have to be stuck with a bunch of dudebros all the time. On top of that I'm not a teamwork person regardless of I'd it would be full of those types of people or not. I need to be free.
Also it's not really the type of adventure I want, yeah it's a lot of travelling sometimes, but even then it's on their terms you don't really get to go where you want.

I think travelling on your own could be fun though. I read Kino no tabi recently and thought that. But even then I'm not skilled in anything, let alone anything useful, at best I'll have a degree in engineering in a couple years and I'm not the best in social skills or anything either.

About being knowledgeable, a lot of people here talk about picking up subjects then dropping them relatively quickly, and I can relate to that a lot. I never explore subjects in depth, I always end up being a dilettante who absorbs anecdotes and simple, practical facts rather than true knowledge
ie. I can talk about philosophy and know what most philosophies/philosophers are about, but as soon as you get into an actual analysis of an author's works I can't follow anymore.
