I feel as though as a lot of these movies aren't really "robot movies" since a lot of them had jobs and past relationships while just going through a really rough patch during the movie.
A robot doesn't know the taste of success in my opinion. Maybe these are "cyborg core" movies.

If it were a robot film it would just be some angry, bitter manchild at his computer for 90 minutes jacking it to loli porn and calling people faggots online.
Obviously that'd be boring. But I think a lot of people on here like to think people like Hugh Laurie, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, etc can all be robots as it gives them hope.

Even "cyborg core" is wrong. Even if cyborgs had relationships it would be a 3-4 month "dating try-out" kind of thing where you never actually got laid and aren't a complete shut-in but aren't very popular either.
