Because my opinion of myself isn't dictated by other people. I used to be really upset that nobody ever gave a shit about me, now I'm 30 and I'm just apathetic and empty and since I don't have the balls to kill myself I might as well try and make the best of things. You can care or not, it's your choice, and there is no wrong answer I guess.
