All I've ever wanted to do realistically is be a drawfag and draw cute anime girls.

You need to get more comfortable drawing shapes and understanding what shapes their lines create on a flat surface. Your approach was right but you didn't have the knowledge to carry it out

I don't really have any at the moment. I love the process of starting to learn a skill but lately nothing seems worth the effort

Make it through college and get a job. Going to try to save up so I can retire early in a small apartment with a cat. I don't have much material wants so I think I could manage. Working until I'm in my 60s seems soul draining and not worth it unless I really, really needed the money.

This is what I'm seeing as I approach my drawing in my own mind. I use simple shapes I've already grown accustomed to drawing as my guidline for the more complex shape. Hope this helps.
