I got lucky that the first one had it be an issue for such a long time they wanted to finally do something about it (not that it really helped me or our relationship, she was still a fucking monster). The second wasn't nearly as bad but was resistant to really trying to get help for it despite already having a history of being in therapy to help her get over her shitty abusive ex.
It's weird because they both were so different at the beginning but ended up pulling similar shit at the same time of the calendar year. I just got out quicker the second time because I was less naive/willing to be a doormat and she had more of a conscience.
