My dermatologist says it's not MPB, but seborrheic dermatitis so severe that it's making my hair shed. They say I can get it back if I get it under control, but getting it under control is a huge bitch, and lots of minor things can set it off, triggering more shedding.

People's hair is usually thinnest at the crown, you might be okay. If you notice it going thinner in the next few months try some of those fancy shampoos or whatever, it may slow it down long enough so that by the time you do have to shave it all off you will have an adult looking face capable of pulling it off.

Thanks! I can even endure rain, nowadays. I must say I've sometimes noticed small sheds, but they had no effect on appearance. I don't really worry about them because hair quality keeps improving and the sheds are way smaller than they were pre-fin (I went from normal to as bald on that picture within one or two years).

I sometimes noticed small itching after taking fin. Wasn't that bad though. Also on one day I suddenly noticed a lot of perhaps dandruff or fatty stuff on my scalp. Left after a day, though.
Oh I should note; Hair density is still rather low. All hairs were very thin though and they regained thickness so it all looks and -most importantly- feels good again to stroke through.
