I didn't get high my first time either, just a little gitty.

did you inhale a bunch of air to chase the weed into your lungs after taking a hit
didnt get high my first time either, second time friend told me "breathe in as much air as you can after you take a hit" i did and got high as fuck, do it every single time now, it's the proper way to smoke or else half your smoke is just in your mouth and throat

Try again tomorrow or some other day and see what happens. It may have been bunk pot or good ol' oregano.
Now you can quickly grow out of it instead spending the best years of your life eating taco bell and watching the office for hours on end
