I agree, it's just out of NYC good cheap pizza is hard to comeby. If their are local places they ofter advertise as being "authentic NYC" pizza and charge a premium hipster price.

it's not elitism, I've been all around the country and tried pizza in various places. it's just not as good. NYC has some shitty pizza joints too, but on average the quality and taste is significantly better.
