Chilling in the car at Santa Monica beach. June gloom no sun for the whole day, water was cold as hell but I went in for 20 mins. Had some chicken and rummed up my guava drink. Wrote in my notebook about how life's always gonna go on and we should push on; thoughts of my eventual death makes me chill. Hotties on bikes, bums asleep on the sand, vagrants smoking and yelling nonsense about mythological Demeter. Life is fucking great
This is the view from inside my hammock the first night of a three night trip in Virginia. The black mesh is my bug net, and I'm strung underneath a tarp. It rained every night and pitter pattered on the tarp all night. Listening to the rain and the sounds of nature while warm in my hammock is probably the most comfy I've ever been. The Xanax helped too

I have. There's a public swimming pool in the middle of a small forest (conservation area, camp ground type deal) where I live. They don't drain it at night. There's a chainlink fence they keep locked which you have to jump. 2AM, just me, the moon, the stars, and the water, swimming on my back.It was comfier when I went with friends. We were naked together and it wasn't awkward.
So trust me, having a pool all to yourself is very fucking comfy.

Comfy weekends coming up guys? The weather around here has been pretty shit lately, but we've got a 3 day weekend this weekend. I would recommend it. I've been to Greece and Turkey, but that night trip across the desert was far more memorable. Perhaps it was the people I was with. I recommend experiencing the developed East Asian metropolises first though, especially in your teenage years. You don't really appreciate shit in Greece or Turkey when you're 15 or 18, trust me.
