Not sure if this is true but I've read that using shampoo actually causes sebum to gather up again even worse again after shampooing. Not to mention it thins and dries up the scalp making your hair look all dry and flaxy.
I used the nopoo method for over a week now and my hair looks real shiny and thick. And surprisingly no dandruff.
