MyCareer/Player mode is shit though, the only thing worth playing is MyGM, which isn't modular at all due to muh micro transactions, and MyLeague. All modes ultimately suffer from the same problems, when you run out of draft classes to download the league goes to show.
2k generates way too many fucking superstars, there should only be a handful of 90+ overall players but given that some players will always hit their potential (injuries have no long lasting effects like they did for Grant Hill, McGrady) and many more come into the league playing at Lebron James-tier levels eventually the NBA becomes saturated with super stars. Multiple 90 overalls, many coming off the bench.
This means teams like the Knicks or Lakers always win because they just buy the best talent and the "bad" teams (with only three or so 90 overalls) never get to get that much better through the draft or free agency.
Seems like a really fucking simple thing to fix.

Yeah maybe that shit worked in the 80s. In reality fit means much more than just having the best players like a fantasy sports roster. Golden State is great because they have excellent chemistry and are capable of playing to each other's weaknesses. They can hide Curry on the defensive end allowing him to gamble and lead the league in steals, Green can facilitate allowing Curry to work off ball.
2k's simulator is so shit that half the time the Rockets will be beat Golden State or the Thunder because le epic big man xD he's gonna get all the rebounds

As was to be expected Wade and Bosh's stats suffered during their time on Bron's squad, Bosh particularly taking on a role as a spot up shooting big man because Lebron needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Same thing happened to K Love.
That's another thing that sucks about 2k, they completely got rid of aspects related to team chemistry. You can have CP3 coming off the bench and he won't at all complain about his diminished role and probably still get a double double in 15 minutes.
