but if he means he wants to have enough land for veggies to feed 4 ppl, which is not larger than a family, its entirely possible
growing crops doesnt need your attention 24/7, since they are just crops
i unironically work in agriculture now (in a land where things arent rocks, so things grow here)
and the amount of ppl who have land and never set foot on it is astonishing

OP do you have a cabin actually? Just building one without all the correct licenses can get you into trouble.
At least that's how it works here in the Netherlands where you cannot even make a new window without the approval of the local government.
