It is shamed and seen as shallow, but so is greed in women. They are both considered to be base, but that is what they are. We are still cavemen and cavewomen, looking respectively for a pretty body and for a strong hunter that can give her furs to cloak herself and her children. Naturally there is more than that, but these two things are the foundation upon which the rest of our relationships lie.
