How do you see depressed people?
Are they nice?
Are they insufferable cunts?
Please share a story where you experienced the company of a truly depressed person.
By definition, it's a pretty large group of people, so I just assume there's tons of variation and let that be that.
Have fun being faggots with this one, /r9k/.

Depends on whether or not they always call attention to them having it for attention. Stuff like "oh that's not bad i have depression blah blah blah i tried killing myself literally 20 seconds ago" if you talk about anything moderately annoying or bad. They're insufferable
>>29154741
Literally this. I know someone I like, but they won't shut their fucking mouth about how they 'want to die' constantly, every thing they do they complain and draw attention to how depressed they are.
And I do care, I try my best to help them feel better when they genuinely need it, but my fuck is it insufferable when they just won't stop. I know I have depression, it got fucking diagnosed, but at least I have the courtesy to be aware that people don't want to fucking hear about it every second of the day.

This.
Depression is often co-morbid with so many other disorders that it's hard to generalize in people. It's a symptom among so many others.

TRUE FACT:
Depression isn't usually an illness. It's a logical response to a set of beliefs, such as the belief that life is meaningless. This is a philosophical claim and has nothing to do with medicine. And of course a person who believes that life is meaningless will become despondent if things go wrong.
The medical profession is treating possible answers to philosophical questions, as an "illness". Well, answers can be right or wrong, but they're not an illness.
The way depressives describe the world is basically the psychological correlate of materialism.

Are you a robot?
I think it's just that I'm so insecure that makes me modest.
RIOGD reporting in.

Your Personality Type is The Composer (RICAS)
Composers are emotionally reactive, which means that they experience their emotions strongly and can be very passionate., however also have a higher tendency to experience emotions such as anxiety, anger and depression. Due to their independence and reserve, sometimes the Composer can be perceived as arrogant or unfriendly, however this is merely because they don't require the same level of social stimulation or interaction that others may seek. The Composer generally prefers fact over fiction and security and stability over ambiguity and disorder. Sticking with convention and familiar routines is generally best. With a sense of social responsibility and a general trust in others, Composers are often seen as sincere and generous. However the Composer has a refreshing impulsiveness about them, they tend to dislike too many rules and regulations and can be casual and whimsical.
4.6% of people are Composers

>the psychological correlate of materialism
it's possible to not be a materialist and think existence is meaningless. that and not all depressives see the world the same. one could believe in a cruel god, for example. that's pretty fucking depressing.
Weak. I scored 100% for depression.
