Can I tell you something, /r9k/? I was almost Bernie Sanders. I used to be young, passionate about leftist beliefs. I believed that everyone was deserving of equality, that the economy was rigged, and that socialism was the path to justice. But the world made me cruel and cold. I saw that socialism could never work and that communism would lead to a Hell on Earth unimaginable. But I still have a fondness for Bernie Sanders.
Because if life had not been so terrible to me, if I had not been betrayed by people who claimed to care, maybe I would have been like Bernie. Traveling to peaceful, liberal places to live among other cucks quietly. Getting involved in local politics. Fostering the innate hunger for competition within me, channeling it into a political spirit... Bernie never imagined he would be looking the presidency in the face. He came so close. I've been following his campaign since the beginning. If he had just managed to pull off one big win...
Maybe his campaign would have gotten the energy it needed to crash into the White House. We'll never know a future with a two point upswing in Massachusetts, or Illinois, Missouri... a future with open primaries in New York, Pennsylvania, etc...
To come so close, yet so far...
I feel for you Bernie. I really do. You really believe you're fighting the good fight. I think you would have made an excellent president if only because you're the only one besides Trump talking about corruption in government.

Im not a leftist, nor am I a socialist. I'm not passionate about leftist ideals. I'm passionate about the ideas that work and would make America better. Out of Trump, Clinton and Bernie, Bernie had the ideas that would lead to a better america. I am a Republican. But I belive that if we can bring jobs back to America and break wall street that we would be easily about to provide free collage to educate our population so we can stay ahead of the game. People say that he just wants to give everyone welfare but the reason why most people in the middwest and most of the south are on welfare is because there are no jobs to be had, they're all over seas now. We have to bring those back, if they were brought back more people would work (more income tax revanue) and less would be on welfare (less social program expenditure). We could do anything if we got them back, if we just got rid of NAFTA, OPEC and all those other trade deals. We'd be a prosperous nation again instead of a shell of our former self. Bernie woils have done this. But he lost because of a word he was associated with. That word is "socialism", people fear this word.
